SOFT CHEESE WITH LIVE LACTIC CULTURES
MADE EXCLUSIVELY WITH ITALIAN MILK
Natural whey-starter crescenza represents the pinnacle of artisanal and traditional cheese-making excellence.
Unlike industrial products that use standardized, laboratory-selected cultures, this type of processing relies on the use of natural whey-starter, a natural culture of live lactic acid bacteria obtained directly from the previous day's production. This allows for a completely natural fermentation of the cheese.
Thanks to the native bacteria typical of the natural whey-starter, the crescenza acquires a unique aromatic profile, characterized by fresh dairy notes, a slight and pleasant acidity, and a characteristic roundness of flavor that is not found in industrial products.
The milk-white paste remains extraordinarily soft, creamy, and melting on the palate.
In cooking, it is extremely versatile: great to enjoy on its own, spread on fresh bread, crostini, or piadina; a key ingredient for preparing cheese focaccia, savory tarts, or fresh pasta fillings; perfect for creaming risottos or as a creamy touch added at the end of cooking on pizzas.
